The terms, in plain words.

These terms cover stylyd.com and the texts barbers and stylists send their clients through Stylyd. Stylyd isn’t open yet, so they’re short. We’ll add the terms for the full service before anyone pays for it.

Who we are

Stylyd is run by STYLYD LLC, 801 W. Big Beaver Road, Suite 300, PMB 2217, Troy, MI 48084. Write to hello@stylyd.com with any question about these terms.

The waitlist

Holding an address on the waitlist keeps it for you until the doors open. It isn’t a purchase or a registration, and the .com you write down isn’t registered or reserved for you. Please don’t hold addresses you don’t mean to use, or names that belong to someone else’s business; we may release those.

Texts from barbers

Appointment texts are a barber’s or stylist’s notices to their client about bookings made on Stylyd, such as booking confirmations, reminders, running-late notes, and a note when the barber replies in the Stylyd app. Each barber’s texts come from that barber’s own registered number and start with the barber’s name; Stylyd sends them for the barber. Clients who also tick the openings and deals box get up to 4 texts a month about openings and deals from that barber. Texts never carry ads for other businesses.

  • Signing up: a client agrees by ticking the texting box when they book. A separate box covers openings and deals. Agreeing to either isn’t required to book.
  • How often: it varies. Usually one to four texts per appointment, plus a note when the barber replies, and up to 4 a month for openings and deals.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
  • Stopping: reply STOP to any text. You’ll get one text confirming you’re unsubscribed, and no more texts from that barber’s number. Reply START to sign up again.
  • Help: reply HELP to any text, write to hello@stylyd.com, or read stylyd.com/sms.
  • Carriers aren’t responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your mobile number and texting consent are handled as the privacy page describes: stylyd.com/privacy.

Fair use of texting

Appointment texts are unlimited for your own clients’ bookings. We may contact you, and if needed limit texting, if an account sends texts unrelated to its own bookings, resells texting, or sends volumes far outside normal use for a single business.
